CBSE & CISCE cancelled the board examination of class 12th

On Tuesday, June 1; honourable PM Narendra Modi chaired a review meeting regarding the exams of class XII boards. Seeing the uncertain situation of the covid-19 virus over the country he decided to cancel the exams, fearing the casualties the youth would have to face due to the virus had the exams taken place. PM Modi pressed the fact that health and safety are the first and foremost priority right now and said that he would not in any condition compromise the safety of the youth on this aspect. 

“After extensive consultation, the government has taken this decision that safeguards the health as well as future of the youth” said the prime minister on his recent tweet. It is also decided that CBSE will take the necessary measures to compile the result of class XII students ‘as per a well-defined criteria’ in a time bound manner.Meanwhile, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has also announced to cancel the board examinations of class XII saying that the “alternative assessment criteria will be announced soon”.

This news has come over as a huge solace for over 14 lakh students who had registered for appearing for the board exams of 2021. The students were put on hold and waiting for a decision since mid-April when the exam was postponed due to the Covid-19 situation. After this news surfaced, the netizens are celebrating this decision by flooding the social media sites with hilarious memes, since Tuesday evening.
